What Stocktale is

Stocktale teaches you to read the market with your own eyes. That is the whole of it. We write what the market did and why; you write what you make of it; and the aim is a reader who eventually needs neither of us.

Who runs it

Sagar U.S., Bengaluru — eighteen years in the market as a researcher, trader, entrepreneur and speaker, with sessions delivered at more than sixty educational institutions. Formerly empanelled as a Resource Person with BSE and with CDSL; neither empanelment is currently held. Those were training credentials, not a SEBI registration.

No advice, by design

SEBI's Investment Adviser and Research Analyst registrations govern people who tell you what to buy. Stocktale never does — which is the point, not a limitation. A reader who is told what to buy has learned nothing and has to come back tomorrow.

So, plainly: Sagar U.S. is not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser or a Research Analyst, is not a broker, sub-broker or authorised person of any intermediary, and is not authorised to advise on securities or to claim any return or performance. Nothing published here is a buy, sell or hold call, a target, a stop-loss, or a forecast of where anything goes next. No profit screenshots, no win rates, no accuracy figures — not now, not ever.

What is free, and what is paid

Membership is ₹999 a year, taken through Razorpay on this site. Mentorship is ₹9,999 a year across two semesters, enquired for on this site and confirmed by hand. The two-day workshop runs on college campuses only and is not sold here at all.

Paid material is never sharper than the free material. What is bought is time and attention, not better information — there is no tier at which the tips begin, because there are no tips.

Market data

• Indices. Commentary covers broad-based indices — Nifty, Bank Nifty, sectoral indices, India VIX — along with the economy, policy, currencies, commodities and world markets, using current data.
• Individual securities. No stock is named with a view attached, and no recommendation on any security is published in any form.
• Teaching material. Price data used in college sessions, recorded lessons and workshops carries a lag of at least thirty days.
• Every number is a fact about the past. A level published here is where price has already been — when it was last touched, how often it has been tested, what happened each time. Never where it goes next.

No intermediary money, no advertising

Stocktale holds no referral, affiliate, commission or data-sharing arrangement with any broker, exchange, depository, mutual fund or portfolio manager. No broker links, no affiliate codes, no lead-sharing. Nobody pays to appear here or to influence what is written. The only money that reaches Stocktale comes from readers and from colleges.

Sagar's own trading is a private matter kept entirely separate. It never appears in any Stocktale page, session or message, in either direction.

Mistakes

A wrong figure is corrected on the page and the correction said out loud. Anything found to have crossed into advice is withdrawn the same day. No silent edits.

Nothing here knows your income, your obligations, or what you can afford to lose. Markets carry the risk of losing your capital, and derivatives can lose you more than you put in.
